We all love watching drama thrillers at home, be it a movie or a show. Squid Game was one such drama thriller that we loved watching. It kept us on our toes with a suspense of what’s going to happen next.
Squid Game, a drama thriller cum action series directed by Hwang Dong Hyuk was the most watched show on Netflix in 2021. And guess what, after all the love the series have gotten, the makers are all set to release the season 2 of this show. Squid Game is coming back with season 2 soon. On Sunday, Netflix shared a video in which it gave a sneak peak into the show and revealed the cast.
Release Date of Squid Game 2
During a press conference in 2022, the director of Squid Game revealed that the second season is likely to be released in 2024. However at Tadum, in Brazil, Netflix announced that the most awaited show Squid Game season 2 is expected to premiere in November.
Squid Game Season 2 Cast
As new players, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha neul, Park Sunghoon and Yang Dong Geun will join the Squid Game. The season 2 will also feature season 1 cast members like Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun and Gong Yoo. Netflix shared a video and gave a sneak peak of the season 1 cast walking up to the podium.
Plot of Squid Game Season 2
As per the Dexerto report,the plot of season 2 will have Seong Gi Hun in red hairstyle. The plot will follow a fall out of Gi Hun who instead of joining his daughter in US, chooses to stay in Korea. During an interview, actor Lee Jung Jae hinted about the season 2 plot. He said ” I have no idea what will happen or the scale of it, but the only thing (director Hwang) did tell me was that Seong Gi-hun is going to be in the show again, and he’s going to be playing in the arena again.”
Squid Game Season 1
The popularity of Squid Game Season 1 gained heights among the youngsters. The series received 14 Emmy nominations out of which it won 6. Lee Jung Jae won the award for outstanding lead actor and Lee You Mi won the award as a guest actress of the series. The series also won the title of Outstanding Stunt Performance 2022.
