Dilip Ghosh, the Lok Sabha MP and national vice president of BJP, has said that the Trinamool Congress is responsible for renowned singer KK’s death. Hitting out at the TMC, Ghosh said, “despite complaining of uneasiness and sweating, KK was not allowed to leave the concert and forced to sing. It’s a murder”.
“He felt uneasy and was even sweating, but was not allowed to leave, but forced to sing. The program was not a college function, it was organised by the Trinamool Congress leaders,” he further added, while talking to the media personnel in Kolkata.
Krishnakumar Kunnath aka “KK”, passed away on Tuesday night due to a heart attack in the hotel room, after his concert in Kolkata. KK’s death is a huge loss for the entire film and music fraternity. As reported, he collapsed in his hotel room and was declared “brought dead” when taken to the hospital.
Not just Ghosh, but the other opposition leaders of BJP and even Congress in West Bengal have questioned the TMC workers over mismanagement of the entire program, demanding an enquiry. BJP MP Saumitra Khan has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah over this incident. In his letter, he has mentioned that the air conditioner in the auditorium was not working. Alleging that the leader of opposition Suvendu Adhikari was not allowed to enter the hospital where KK was taken, he questioned the presence of the TMC workers at that place.
Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress has also replied to Dilip Ghosh’s statement. Party spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said, “Such cheap and dirty politics reflects the culture of BJP. KK’s manager knows the reason for his death. Recently, BJP high command has summoned Dilip Ghosh and he’s under extreme pressure from his party. He is making such statements as he’s struggling for his existence.”
